English language challenges

If I have to talk about my experience with the English on this year, I can say that this semester helped me to remember some things about this language that I was forgetting. When I was on the school, I think that  I used to talk English better than today. When you don’t practice one thing you run the risk to start to forget some things that you knew.

The language in special, I think that is an important thing that you must to practice for not forget it. Lamentably, when you learn one language is not like learn to ride on a bike –you just learn once-.

Practice English is very difficult for me because the most part of the time - for not say always-, I speak in Spanish. In fact, I think that if one person really wants to learn English is necessary reside for a few months in one place like USA or England, where speak that language all the time. Obviously, always have alternative options but, the best way I think is what I mentioned.

So one day, when I finish college, I want to go to USA or England for a few months to finish to learn English. I think that I have to improve in special my vocabulary and fluency. I have to lose the fear of talk in English.

About the English that I have on the college, like I said on the beginning, I think that helped to me to remember some things that I had forgotten. But I think that this is not enough because I have to learn many things yet and for that reason I hope can travel to USA or England after college.

2015!

If I have to do a recount about this year, I can say that it was a good year; no the best in my life but good. Although this year doesn't finish yet, I can look back and said that I really had good moments on this last time.

In first place, obviously, my last summer vacations were very funny. I went to the south of Chile with my friends and my boyfriend and I really can say that I started the year in the best way.

About my achievements I think that I not have one in special but I think that I really learned many things on this year. I learned to speak on the radio, in front of one camera, etc.

In fact, the courses that I more enjoyed are TV (Producción Periodística Audiovisual) and Radio (1 y 2).  I can say that this year, since I entered to college, it was the grade that in I more learned.

But not all is good. I think the worse thing of my year, is that I felt tired the most part of the time because like I mentioned,  was my college's year more productive unlike last years, on that I really had much free time.

To finish, I just can say that I hope that  next year  be better than this in all aspects, and I hope can have more energy for enjoy all the moments and situations that will come. I just have two more years like student so I think that is necessary enjoy!

My Summer Plans

Today I have to talk about what I want to do the next summer. I have some plans but nothing concrete. But if all happen how I want, I will visit Buenos Aires and the south of Chile.

In first place, let’s go to talk about Buenos Aires, Argentina. This trip was not my idea. My best friend, Filomena, said me a few weeks ago “Cata, please let’s go to Buenos Aires for the summer, it could be nice”.  I think that is a good idea because is a near place and I have never visited it, so it could be a good opportunity for go to this city.

If all happen like we plan, our boyfriends, Maximiliano and Cristóbal, will go with us.

What we want to do in this trip? well, many things I think, nothing specific but probably we will do the typical things like taste the best food of the city, visit the most beautiful places, know about the history of Buenos Aires, meet people, go to parties, and have a good time.

The other plan that I have for this summer it is go to the south of Chile. But not like a luxury travel, more like a hitchhiking.  The last summer I did that with my friends and we really love it. I think that travel with not much money, and move for the cities making hitchhiking, it is a good experience. On the other hand, I love camp because is easier feel the nature and connect with the landscapes.  

I want to do this trip with my three friends, Isidora, Marige, and Lora, and with my boyfriend and his best friends. I hope that we can do this trip because I really love the south of our country and I want to know more places.

What we want to do on this trip? I think that visit many places and the most beautiful landscapes of the south of Chile, and if the money is enough, eat like pigs because we love it and obviously, because the food of the south is the best thing in the world.

Which places we want to visit? I don’t know we will see that on the same trip.

I am a food lover

If the question is if I love the food or not, of course the answer is yes. I think that the food is the best thing in the world. If you are bored, you can eat; if you are happy, you can eat; if you are sad, you can eat; if you have a meeting, you can eat; if you are nervous, you can eat; in other words, always is a good moment for eat.

Although I love eat, I have to admit that I’m really picky, a sad fact for me.  But even though this, I really enjoy the food.  One of the plates that I love with all my soul, is shushi. I am really addicted to this Japanese food, because also that the taste is very good, is healthy. The bad thing is that is so expensive.  My favorite rolls of sushi are the ones that are wrapped with salmon, or the ones that have shrimps.

Another type of kitchen that I love is the chinese. This type of food, I think that is my favorite since I was little because always I used to eat with my family Chinese food.  My favorite plates of this food are the spring rice, Mongolian meat, spring rolls and wontons.

These are my favorite restaurant food.

Now, about the home food, I can say that my favorite plates are two: the spaghetti with Bolognese sauce or cream, and rice with anything because you can eat this product with all kind of things and it will taste good.

I just can say that I love food. 

¿How green I am?

Well, in the first place I want to say that I'm very careful about the earth, the nature, and the animals. Perhaps I don’t make many things, I mean, big things, but I try to help from my own place. How? One of things that I do for this cause is care about water. When I wash the dishes for example, I never leave the water runs, and when I serve me a water glass and I don’t drink all, I  pour the rest of the water on the plants. Always when I see a person who doesn't care about water , I say it something like “Hey, be conscious because the water is very important for life”.

By other side, I try to not use sprays like deodorants, pest killers, or things like that, because this type of products are very bad for the atmosphere.

Other thing that I do for the planet, is separate the garbage to the recyclable things like paper, plastics, cardboard, etcetera. I think that this point it is very important because help to not produce more trash in the world and helps to take advantage for the raw material.

Also that I never throw trash on the streets, in fact, I hate with all my soul the people who make this because I think that is so unconscious and primitive… I think that sometimes the people don’t use their brains, I mean, don´t cost you anything wait for a garbage collector… you are not gonna died for keep one paper for a few minutes in your hand or bag.

Well, I think that these are the principal things that I do for the earth. I know that is not much but the little things sometimes turn in something bigger.

My labor future

Today I have to write about what I want to be in the future. Well, I will be a journalist so I want to work in this area obviously. But the journalism gives you many possibilities like radio, magazines, newspapers, and etcetera. Although I love all this areas and I hope one day that I can work in all of them, I want to dedicate my life to make press reports. Why? Because my dream of life is can go to many places and know different cultures. I think that the best part of journalism is that is so dynamic and social. I believe that the fact of have the possibility of live all of this in the real life, my own real life, not through magazines or TV programs, is a magic gift.

But in specific, I want to make audiovisual reports because I think that through this type of press reports, the people can see the things in a truly way because they receive the information with images, photos, etcetera, so I think that in this way, they can understand the idea in a better way.

By the other side, I think that the idea of make audiovisual reports  is more interesting and fun for me than make write reports.

One day I hope that I can make all of this, and  make good reports for the people who don’t have the chance to know other countries or cultures.

My favorite TV series

We have to talk about one TV series, but in this opportunity, probably different to the rest of my classmates, I chose a kid’s series, Phineas and Ferb. Why? Well, I love the kid’s series because I think that help me to distract and calm. By the other side, I think that this type of TV programs, are so funny and nice, and for these reasons I love them.

Phineas and Ferb in special, is a TV series very interesting and amazing. For the people who never see it, is a history about two brothers very smart and creatives, who make amazing buildings and things, but, they just have twelve years.

Her sister, Candace, spend all her time trying to accuse her brothers, and their mom always think that Candace is crazy.   

Each chapter, follow the same format, but changes the thing that they make.

Finally, I have to talk about my favorite character, “Perry the platypus”. This is the mascot of the family, and besides be cute and tender, he is the best secret agent in the world. Obviously, his family don’t know about his “double life” but, he is very good in his job.

Well, I have more TV series that I love, but for this time, it is all.
